PURE JOY inhabited an old fuel storage depot from it's founding in 2016 - 2020. The property was like no other in Marfa or West Texas. We purchased the property from the Railroad and then converted it to useable commercial spaces. After cleaning off years of industrial fuel depot dirt, we renovated the two buildings, while maintaining the historical integrity of each. Green building materials were used when possible. The architectural integrity of the spaces structures and openings was very important to us to maintain. Before we could realize the much larger greening of the project we sold the property to it's current owners. The 40' vertical fuel tower has a lookout deck on top. The property includes a gallery space in the fuel shed barn, a gravel courtyard, a larger shed, split into two beautiful work spaces and two small metal sheds, each with incredibly unique colors and textures on the interior and exterior.
